Two most important meals of the day

We need to eat food not just because we are hungry but for many other reasons. Food provides your body with vital nutrients to keep you healthy. But eating at certain times is more important than others.

Breakfast: Most important meal of the day. Your sleep night before breakfast put your body into hibernation. This is the longest time that your body spends without food. Depending on your meal and sleeping habits, this period of time could be between 10 to 12 hours. Your body while in hibernation for the day goes into a slow metabolism conserving energy. As you wake up in the morning you need to refuel your body and get ready for the day. Many say you need to eat your breakfast within one hour of waking up from a night sleep.

Meal after a workout: You burn more energy during your workout. After the workout, your body will be looking for energy to refuel your body. If you do not refuel, your body will consume whatever it can find. This means energy stored in muscles and the body will eat away the most important parts. This is why you need to refuel your body with protein and carb after a workout.
